LIFE MEMBERS
Life Members are those who served their five active years, and while active served on the Board or attended a national conference, paid the equivalent of 10 years of associate member dues, and requested LIFE status. Life members are invited to JA of Cleveland, TN projects, events, and socials, and contribute to the JA community in meaningful ways.
Ginger Crawford
How did you initially get involved with JA?
“My dear friend, Ede Scannapiago. We were chatting about giving back to the community and she suggested I look into JA, since she was a member at the time (now a lifer as well). Both of us had children in elementary/middle school at the time and this was one of JA’s many focuses.”
Board positions?
“I was on many planning committees over my time with JA and I held the Public Relations position on the board.”
Favorite (JA) memory?
“I’m not sure if there is a favorite…I look back at my time as an experience and opportunity that I would do all over again! The Teddy Bear Picnic, Jackets for Juniors, the Community Closet, 5k Shoes for Soles, our brunches, evenings together working on projects and let’s not forget the Gala.”
What would you tell somebody who is thinking about joining junior auxiliary?
“The compassion, fun and camaraderie that grows and is nurtured in a group of women working on the same goals…to help children in the community, literacy, confidence, life skills…is life changing. New friendships are everlasting. My heart is full when I reminisce!”
Lori Hammonds
How did you initially get involved with junior auxiliary?
“One of my best friends, Becca Brnik, was in JA and I really enjoyed hearing about all the projects that she was involved with that helped children in our area. She nominated me to become a member and I was very excited to become involved.” Lori was active member 2012-2018.

1st VP & Provisional Trainer in 2015-2016 and President 2016-2017
Favorite (JA) memory?
“My favorite JA memory is when my Provisional Class started the Have a Heart Give a Sole Provisional project that was then adopted as a yearly project. It was later renamed in honor of a fellow provisional who tragically lost her life. Teddy Bear Picnic is also very near and dear to my heart.”
What would you tell somebody who is thinking about joining JA?
“I would tell them to jump all in! You will make lifelong friends and help out the community at the same time!”

Morgan Burke
How did you initially get involved with JA?
“The person who reached out to me to join JA was life member, @saelmoore Sarah Moore! She is a friend of mine.” Morgan was active 2014-2020

President, provisional leader, secretary, teddy bear picnic chair, have a heart give a sole chair, social chair…
Favorite (JA) memory?
“I have soooo many good memories!Attending AEC, socials, teddy bear picnic, have a heart give a sole 5ks, raider tree, unity center clothing drives, etc!”
What would you tell somebody who is thinking about joining junior auxiliary?
“I would say 100% to join! It is a great way to give back to the children in our community and also a great way to meet amazing women in Cleveland ”
